KRWG-TV's New Weekly Magazine Show About NMSU!

Saturdays at 5pm Sundays at Noon

Program 24: Nanotechnology today is like the microchip craze in the 1970s. That according to NMSU Physicist Shay Curran. He says nanotechnology—the ability to build things one atom at a time—will revolutionize many of the products we currently use. In segment one of the show, we see how Curran is working to make NMSU and New Mexico a center for three areas within nanotechnology: power systems, water (hydrology) and materials, with a focus on solar power. In segment two, we take a tour of the J. Paul Taylor home in Old Mesilla. The house has been dedicated as a state monument. We speak with Representative J. Paul Taylor and Dr. John Hunner, an NMSU professor who conducted oral histories of the Taylor family and home.
