NMSU’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble went south of the border to perform. Way south! In this week’s Aggie Almanac—a look at the 45 students and seven NMSU music faculty who made a trip to “Colombia” to kick off the National Band Festival at Paipa. The NMSU band is the first from outside Colombia to participate in this event. In this week’s Aggie Almanac, we take you there. In segment two, it’s the story of a former Division 1 basketball coach at NMSU who decided to give it all up become an author, and ended up coaching a rag-tag team in Ireland, and re-discovering himself. And yes, also writing a book that’s doing well!
