KRWG-TV's New Weekly Magazine Show About NMSU!

Saturdays at 5pm Sundays at Noon

Program 34
The illegal immigration issue in the U.S. is both complex and emotional. And right now, Congress is making a serious attempt to find a resolution. In this week’s show, we get three perspectives on illegal immigration from three high profile visitors to the NMSU campus – journalist Maria Hinojosa who has covered immigration issues, author Sonia Nazario who wrote a book about immigrant children who ride the tops of trains in Mexico to get to the U.S. to find their mothers, and Mexican ambassador to the U.S. Carlos de Icaza who believes the U.S. needs to take a more comprehensive approach to immigration reform. We also hear from NMSU’s Nancy Oretskin, who headed the U.S. – Mexico Conflict Resolution Center.
