City Council makes Changes to Red Light and Speed Enforcement Camera Program

Las Cruces, NM – The Las Cruces City Council voted unanimously Monday to repeal the existing city ordinance which initiated the red light camera program and replace it with a new ordinance. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the red light and speed enforcement cameras are still coming to at least four intersections in Las Cruces, but with some minor changes.

Multiple Car Accident on I- 25

Las Cruces, NM – A multiple car accident near the Lohman exit on Interstate 25 is affecting both north and southbound traffic. New Mexico Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Bridgette Spedialeri says the accident caused one vehicle to lose control and roll over. Las Cruces motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

City to Initiate Red Light Camera Enforcement in February

Las Cruces, NM – Red light and speed enforcement cameras will be installed this month at four intersections within Las Cruces. The City Council voted for the program unanimously back in September. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, City Manager Terrence Moore says the camera enforcement at these intersections will start in February.

Lohman Lane Closures

Las Cruces – Las Cruces motorists are advised that Lohman Avenue will have lane closures for approximately three weeks starting Monday.

The closure may affect RoadRUNNER Transit Route No. 60, 70 and 90.

Motorists wanting to avoid possible delays should seek an alternative route.
