Presidential Candidates seek the Support of Uncommitted Superdelegates

Las Cruces, NM – According to the Associated Press, Tuesday's Democratic Presidential Primaries in North Carolina and Indiana helped Senator Barrack Obama increase his lead in the delegate count to 150 over Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Obama now needs about 170 delegates to secure the democratic nomination. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, with the race dwindling down pressure is building on the close to 270 uncommitted superdelegates including New Mexico U.S Representative Tom Udall to pick a side.

Las Cruces, NM – New Mexicans visit Broad Canyon in Dona Ana County to hike, bike, go off-roading or just enjoy nature. Recently, however Broad Canyon was added to a list of ten natural treasures that are at risk of losing their wilderness qualities. Environmental groups are pushing for legislative protection in order to preserve its wilderness qualities.

McCamley Criticizes Teague for Making Large Contributions to His Own Campaign

Las Cruces – This morning 2nd Congressional District Democratic candidate Bill McCamley held a press conference in Las Cruces where he wrote a $47.50 check to his own campaign. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the move came after McCamley's primary opponent Harry Teague, a former Lea County Commissioner, disclosed to the Federal Election Commission that he has lent his own campaign $475,000 since last week.

NMSU Associate Dean Accused of Emailing Porn Resigns

Las Cruces – Earlier this week, New Mexico State University Associate Dean Dr. Larry Olsen permanently resigned from his position at the College of Health and Human Services; after University Administrators conducting an internal investigation concluded that he violated University policy. Sierra County Votes Yes on Spaceport Tax
