New Digital FEMA Maps Could Force County Residents to Purchase Flood Insurance

Las Cruces, NM – The Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA has released new preliminary flood maps for Dona Ana County. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the maps have identified new special flood hazard areas in Dona Ana County as a result of the desertification of some of the Rio Grande levee system.
