Proposed Legislation: Drug-Testing Elected Officials

Las Cruces, NM – With the drug arrests of two high-profile public officials in recent memory, a Republican state senator has proposed a bill that would call for the random drug-testing of all elected officials. As Katie Goetz reports, the office proposed to administer the program says the bill lacks thoughtful consideration of the numbers involved.
